Mark of the Unicorn MTP A/V [Motu Time Piece for Audio/Video] - parallel port version, $200 obo
This unit is an all-in-wonder. Does time code in various formats, and in an 8-in 8-out midi interface. Works by plugging into the printer port on your computer - does not work with a printer port to usb adapter, but an add on printer port PCI/PCI-E/PCI-X card is fine.

I have a Roland VS880EX with a DJ case I customized to fit it. $150 - I will burn a disc with all manuals and stuff. These things last forever! This is a great 8-track recorder that can go as deep as you want it to go - for example, it operates just like a tape deck [start/play/record/etc] however you can get into the nitty gritty if you want. It's quiet and portable. I have had it for years but rarely used it since I have a bigger computer system in place - I didn't do as much recording on the go as I thought. There is one issue with it - the master fader doesn't adjust the output. I have set it in the software to be at unity gain, and it hasn't been an issue with me since that's where I leave it most of the time anyway. It is an 8 in [6 analogue, 2 digital] 6 out deal with built in effects.

Digidesign AudioQuad AND Digidesign 442 $50 for the pair
Antiques these could be classified as. They are the same sound cards with different model numbers. 4 channels i/o each. They were once thousands of dollars and part of the Protools Nubus system running I think Protools II. I dunno what you'd use them for today - but they are both in good cosmetic condition.

Applied Research and Technology Dual MP 2 channel mic preamp $100
I bought this thing when it was new for *gasp* $560 in I think 1995 from L&M. It is a heavily coloured mic pre. Kind of dark and warm sounding, with a subtle roll off of highs and a nice tube sound. Basic controls, just gain, master volume, phase invert, phantom power and a +20 db boost - each channel also sports a DI that has a great warm tone. In fact the DI is why I've kept it for so many years, it is great for bass guitar and keyboards. In general I find synths to be overly harsh and after running them through this thing it tends to smooth out the harshness with the subtle tube compression. Of course setting the gain high introduces some slight overdrive if that's your thing as well, and I use that on my bass tracks to beef them up if the need arises. Of course you can also use one DI, and then send the output to the second channel's input to add even more grit.

#5 Applied Research and Technology DPS II 2 channel mic pre with digital output $150
This one is just like the one above but includes an output limiter, several different EQ presets, and digital output. As with everything else of mine, it's in great condition. It currently retails at L&M for $280

I can vouch for the seller of this stuff being honest and straightforward. You're more than likely to get a good deal with him.

Squire Affinity P-Bass, sells new for $179, sell for 100 obo.
This one has a few nicks and scrapes but I set it up to play nice and easy, and swapped out the knobs for some black gibson ones that came off one of my electrics. This one is red and ready to rock! Great starter bass, backup, xmas gift etc.
