    Default Another Hello...

Just thought I'd make a shout out and say hi to everyone in these forums.

I've lived in Nanaimo my entire life and am an avid Geocacher, which is how I discovered this forum.

As I like to say, Happy Caching!

I've found many interesting things on my adventures, especially in the Tulameen/Princeton area... Old coal mines, KVR trestles, old root cellars, explored hedley and a nearby mine. Not to mention some cool places in Nanaimo.

I was just saying Hello, have never tried "geocaching" but you sure make it sound interesting. I am retired and will have free time. The wife still wants to work and is presently looking. What web site would you recommend for a newbie?

I lived in Princeton for a couple of years, ( In the Tunnel Area) Never geocached but did a lot of exploring on dirtbikes with a metal detector and found a lot of neat stuff. Even found an abandoned steam donkey/drill rig in the hills above Coalmont...

You found a mine? Were you able to enter it? Sounds both dangerous and interesting.

Here are some pictures of it, it's called Frenchy's Mine I think.

Didn't have flashlights so we could only go as far as the sunlight let us, pretty cool though.
