    Default Nanaimo Perspectives III

A lot of photos get posted in our "Nanaimo Perspectives" category, so I try to keep the category split up into different "threads". This is the third.

Here's a bench on the Trailway just west of Ninth St. I really like this area.

I love how those ferns look in the second photo, like a thatch roof. Is that cave at the dams, awilsor3 ?

Flugel Horn, I LOVE that small-aperture photo looking south to downtown from Sugarloaf.

haha, "aperture" is one photographic concept that I always misunderstand. So I don't try playing with it.

....this shot is in "P" mode on my Canon point-&-shoot, at 100ISO. Setting for a cloudy day.....

......and I've just now read some explanations for the meaning of small aperture, which is a photograph where the background is in focus (as well as the foreground in focus too).

Sugarloaf is a great location, especially with that view across Departure Bay to the downtown towers.

Thanks again for pointing me to another new adventure. It took some zig zagging, but I managed to find the access point to Sugarloaf.
    Thanks, Barrie

You're welcome. I drive up Departure Bay to Smugglers Hill rd. to Sherwood Forest Rd., and finally to Marion Rd. and I park by the stone-stairs at the very end of Marion Rd.

A nice view of the bay, the downtown, and behind to Mt. Benson.
