Sucky news, grommet. That's my neighbourhood too and I've been getting pretty annoyed with the bad elements around here (it's not just certain teens; it's entire dynasties of would-rather-drink-than-parent moms and don't-give-a-**** dads and still-stealing-at-40 uncles).
I've been daydreaming about some kind of aggressive neighbourhood watch, designed to prevent everything from bottle smashing to theft. But, heck, I don't actually have time for patrolling.
Hopefully it'll be a beautiful summer for your family and you will enjoy access to the dams and Morrell and Westwood Ridge...

@ Riverrat - Hey neighbour - Sadly, there are bad elements. Hopefully, with more decent people moving in, things will change. Neighbourhood watch could be a good thing but I'd be concerned about retaliation. Yes, I've been trying to put a positive spin on things and am looking forward to getting settled and enjoying our new home. I wish the same for your summer.

Hey all - Happiest of Thanksgivings.....Just an update. We've been living in our new home for about 5 months now and really love it. Aside from the rocky start, I must say that we are not regretting our decision. Everyday we find new things to enjoy. Thankfully, things have turned out well.

glad 2 here that u 2 are enjoying your new home....be sure to get involved in the hassle with the city fathers and the Collier Dams....u can bet I will be at it for sure.....don't wanna' lose my fishin' holes....cheers!......stan the man

Thanks, Stan. I wish that I could say that the pleasure lasted but I can't. We've had several visits and calls from Bylaw Enforcement regarding several different issues. After several phone calls and conversations, the officers have determined that their time was being wasted in following up complaints lodged by anonymous complainants (who also happened to leave bogus contact information). I really don't understand why our business is so interesting to others - lack of purpose in their own lives perhaps? Anyhoo, let's just hope that the novelty of shaking up a neighbours' very existence wears thin and whoever is lodging the complaints will move on to something else.
