Default What happened at Chase River Elementary (Extension Rd)

Today at about 2 pm at Chase River School the traffic was restricted, there were many workers (flag people, some uniformed people etc). I noticed a big puddle of some deep red liquid on a road, they tried to sponge it with white absorbing fabric, or smth like this. Who knows what has happened there (accident?).

I hope that was a ketchup van accident.

I do either... But this puddle looked very, very bad.... :-( They picked up a school bag and something like fleece jacket and took it away. And everything was dirty and soaked in this red liquid (it did not seem like ketchup, omg!!!). I cannot sleep now.

I saw the same thing too, and wondered also........ Noticed Davy Tree was there later on trimming tree branches? There was a incident response in that area around the same time. 1600 block of Naylor Crescent.

We saw this the other day - maybe it was hydraulic fluid. I noticed a small pile of what looked like fresh cut wood on the way home later. Makes sense if Davy was trimming overhanging branches.

Looked at it again today. Looks like an oil spill of some kind, like you said, hydraulic or transmission fluid......
