Thread: Help find this, please

  1. #1

    Default Help find this, please

It is called a "Nano" and is made by "HexBug". Thousands of these were sold around Christmas.

But, the battery usually died within a few hours. Due to the cost of the battery, many were put away or found themselves at the bottom of toyboxes.

If you have one and would like to get rid of it, please let me know. I need a part that is on them and I found the factory that builds the toys, but in order to get the parts, I have to order 10,000 of them. I need as many as I can get, but 10K is one or two too many- even at 38cents each.

Please check to see if your bug died and decide if you'd rather get rid of it than replace the battery. HexBug made several models but the Nano is the only wone with the part. I could use 50 of them easily so please check.

Very few stores have them new and the price is quite high so I am hoping to get or buy some dead ones.

    Thank you

Have you tried eBay? I just looked and you can get them there relatively cheap.

I've heard they are at Chapters.

I've tried eBay a few times in the past and out of the six times I bought things, I got only two. Needless to say, I have a lack of trust there.

Some places have the Nano, but want between $10 and $14 for them. That's the reason I was hoping to find some that have died. Even $10 is too much for a 38 cent part.

Hey zedex, you should consider renaming this thread to make it easier to find by search engines and by human eyes in the forum pages.

I saw some at Michael's. The craft store.

They were in a wicker basket on the clearance wall. They were selling for $5.99 each.
Let's remove all the warning labels and let the problem sort itself out

Ok, I'll bite... since no one else has, What are you planning to make with all these parts? Are you making something cool?

Yes. I found them there. The ones they have are leftovers from last Christmas so the batteries may not be too great, but its Ok by me. I needed another part of the toy.

I did not know Chapters has them-- another source should one run dry. Thanks.
