Default NOT AS ADVERTISED "free heat and hot water"

So i moved into a building that stated 1.on their website, 2. in person, and 3. on the lease, that the building included "free heat and hot water". This morning I woke up freezing and that also means grumpy! I called down to the landlord and he said after much exchange that "the boilers will not be on all summer". This left me very upset b/c I feel I should be able to control my own temperature 365 days a year.

What are my options here? 1.Just shut up and buy a heater, 2. move, 3. file a dispute.

Can I get some opinions...has this happened to you? How can they say "free heat and hot water" and then turn OFF the heat???? That's false advertising!!!!

I sure hope you are not renting on Departure Bay Road.

Well, the resident manager informed me this morning that it is common to turn off the heat in the summer. The property manager said they would buy me a heater....so I feel they responded appropriately.
