Looking for a location to film my short movie

A friend and I have written a movie we plan on shooting next month. It's kind of a survival film. We have everything except one location!

We're looking for a row of buildings in the wilderness. I'm thinking summer camp, old logging or mining camp etc. Preferably abandoned but I'll try just about anything. Run down is good. We don't need access to the interiors of anything, camera angles can take care of that.

Shack island comes to mind, though I'd prefer forest over beach. Plus I'm relatively new to the island [5 years] and don't really know who owns those shacks or even if I'm allowed to go there.

If anyone has an idea I'd love to hear it, and if you happen to have taken pics I'd love to see them!
