Default Looking for Abandoned Derelict Buildings

    Hello.

I'm wondering if anyone knows the whereabouts of any abandoned or derelict buildings in the Nanaimo area. Preferably big old industrial buildings. But even old collapsing barns are fine.

I'm looking to do a little Urban Exploration and photography but don't know of any good locations...

    Default abandoned houses

I am looking to use an abandoned house or cabin or barn as a setting in a series of photographs.
Does anyone know the location of such in the Nanaimo area?
    thanks

    Default Abandoned Buildings?

This might come across as a little weird, but, well, I kind of have a thing for abandoned buildings. I think they are charming and fascinating, and I like to take to take pictures of them. I was wondering if anybody could point me in the direction of any. They're not exactly easy to find.

I will respect any trespassing laws, but it would be really awesome if I could find any I am allowed to explore the inside of, I wouldn't even mind the spiders! Please help me out if you can think of any, thanks

Seems to be a few in the Nicole st area and on Haliburton st. Most are boarded up. There is also that large 3 story creepy building further along Haliburton closer to the mill (South one). Also noticed up near westwood there used to be a farm beside the camp site but it looks like the property is being developed and the older 2 or 3 story house way in the back is looking boarded up as well. I am sure there are trespassing issues with that one.

I knew this one had come up a lot in the last few years on these forums, so I found a few other similar threads and merged them with this one. You'll see there are now several similar posts above. Maybe some answers will trickle in. It's a tough one to talk about though, as most places are private properties. There were also these threads:
