Hiking Up Mount Benson form Westwood lake need someone to go up there with

I was planning on hiking to the top of Mount Benson

But I have no buddy to go up there with. Im afraid of going up there alone case of getting lost up there are running into a bear are mountain cat are something

I have been up to some of the lower areas of the mountain like westwood ridges an the morrell sanctuary. I also been to were the clear cut area is near the gravel roads as far as were there's a rope on a rock that goes up

I live very close to westwood lake road so I can walk up to westwood lake. anytime If anyone's going up the mountain I can meet up with them and follow them to the top just so I wont have to hike there alone by myself.

hello.. I hike mt benson a lot and have a suggestion.. your best bet is going up on the witchcraft lake entrance. Best to take a friend always but this way is well marked. I have only ever run into one bear (avid hiker and go hiking a lot on my own) and that was a black bear about 4 weeks ago. I carry a bear whistle and spray but my whistle has always been my best defense... goodluck!
