Lantzville, Vancouver Island
...Just north of Nanaimo
Just north of Nanaimo is Lantzville, a beautiful, semi-rural village by the ocean. Once settled as a coal mine community, Lantzville evolved into a little town known mainly for its gorgeous Georgia Strait beachfront cottages. Today Lantzville is many things, especially a self-sufficient town thriving on its unpretentious slice of tourism, and hosting all the beaches that Nanaimo residents are so envious of.
A new residential development at the Lantzville Foothills is big news for the little town. These hills are capped with marvellous ecosystems featuring our rare combination of arbutuses and cedars and firs, offering residents stunning views and gorgeous parks to view them from.

A Note about Lantzville and Nanaimo
Lantzville residents have always prided themselves on their small, independent town, avoiding many of the cultural and aesthetic ramifications of late-twentieth-century development. Therefore Nanaimo's blitzkrieg northward rankles many Lantzvillians deeply; however, it should be noted that, rather than turn bitterly inward, Lantzville residents still greet strangers on the street as warmly as they do any neighbour.
