Recycling in Nanaimo
Nanaimo recycles pretty much everything except styrofoam (which can often be returned to stores, or can be returned in Duncan). We have our recyclable goods picked up from each house every two weeks, and there is also at least one drop-off facility (see below).
Plans are also underway for roadside compost pickup - the waste would be turned into yummy soil at a facility near Duke Point. More information should be available on the Nanaimo Recycling Exchange website:
