Rutherford Ridge

Get your heart rate up, right here in town, while taking in some magnificent views of the city and the mountain. It's in north Nanaimo, right between Long Lake and Pipers Pub as the crow flies.

This is that same rocky hilltop terrain that's so characteristic of Eastern Vancouver Island. There are good rock-climbing runs and some interesting overhangs, as well as beautiful views of Nanaimo.
