Nanaimo's Seafood Restaurants

There are a lot of restaurants in Nanaimo that take advantage of the fresh seafood that comes off the boats. In fact, most local restaurants serve some seafood. We recommend asking about where the fish came from. If it's not local, don't blame Nanaimo if you're not impressed with the flavour.

Other than the fine seafood restaurants listed below, we won't mention all of the restaurants in town that serve seafood, except for the two little floating outdoor restaurants down in the harbour. Penny's Palapa is the more elegant of the two, serving primo ceviche amidst Mediterranean potted trees. Meanwhile, Troller's is recognized for its excellent fish 'n' chips, serving some of the freshest halibut around.
