Snake Island
Snake Island is 5 kilometers out to sea from Departure Bay, or 6km from downtown Nanaimo.
It's a little, rugged island, with sandstone galleries, harbour seals, and great views of Nanaimo and the Gulf of Georgia (Georgia Straight).
