Decourcy is a gorgeous little island that's only accessible by private boat. It is subdivided into residential properties, all of which are off-grid. Residents use rain and wells for water, generate their own electricity, and build septic systems or composting toilets for sewage.
There are roads, a landing for barges at the north end of the island, and a provincial marine park at the southeast end (Pirates Cove) which has:
Two public dinghy docks (small boats only)
Several stern-tie moorage rings
A private marina, Russell’s Landing, which offers annual moorage to Decourcy property owners only
It's common for buyers to purchase Decourcy Island properties as vacation homes, or as second homes to visit regularly as part of their lifestyle. I'm so jealous of that lifestyle!
Please let me know if you'd like to view properties on Decourcy Island, and I'll arrange our passage by boat. You must pay our way, but I will reimburse you when you buy something (no matter how small) with me as your agent.
