Haslam Creek is just south of the Nanaimo River - indeed, the creek feeds into the river, just below the highway bridge at Cassidy, near the airport.

The creek is long, cutting a 10km canyon from its origin below Mount McKay before leveling off and joining the Nanaimo River near the fish hatchery in Cedar. There is a beautiful backcountry on the other side, very much worth exploring!

The Trans Canada Trail crosses Haslam Creek with a suspension bridge (pictured above) that is worth a visit. I won't try to provide directions here but you can easily find it with a quick online search.
