Moorecroft park trail mapThe previous site of "Camp Moorecroft", this park is a beautiful example of the seaside ecosystem common to the area. There are gentle walking trails through an impressive forest, leading to a protected bay that's great for swimming AT HIGHER TIDES. Rocky promontories offer vantage points to local islands and open water.

This has only been a park since 2011 when it was purchased from the United Church using Regional District funds as well as fundraising from the Nature Trust of BC and the Nanaimo Area Land Trust.

Aside from an old boathouse, the original camp buildings have been removed and some comfortable pit toilets have been installed near the parking lot.

Please be mindful that there is an effort to preserve the sensitive ecosystems in the park, with some areas being fenced off for rehabilitation!
